How do I know I need therapy?

The decision for you to enter therapy is a highly personal one. One seeks counselling or psychotherapy for a myriad of reasons. At times, a particular crisis or trauma has provoked mind-boggling and heightened feelings. Numerous people have actively sought therapy for relationship problems, lifestyle stress, self-doubt issues, and other emotional problems to name a few. Alternatively, sometimes none of the above apply and a more inclusive approach is needed to talk about the gap between what you imagined your life would be and the circumstances in which you are actually finding yourself in. If you are not sure, it is always free to consult at Life Line Therapies about whether counselling or psychotherapy services would be appropriate.

How can Life Line Counselling Therapies help me?

The basic structure of Life Line Counselling Therapies consists of you meeting with a registered clinician on a fairly regular basis to discuss your problems. The therapist is not there to simply give you advice, but rather to process with you so that you can find unique solutions using the tools you have learned in your sessions. Clinical staff are there to listen to you, to help you get to the root of your problems, to overcome any emotional hurdles in making positive life changes.

How does Life Line Counselling Therapies work?

Some people refer to the basis of counselling as a “talking treatment” because it generally involves talking to a therapist one-to-one, or as a family, a couple or a group of people with similar issues. Life Line therapies will work with you in a holistic and open-door approach on a increasingly difficult problem to help you find a lasting solution.

How long does it take to see results with Life Line Counselling Therapies?

The therapeutic process is different for everyone. The focus and duration will vary, depending on your individual goals and intentions. The process typically involves disclosure of personal issues, self-reflection, recollection and the holistic accessing of deeper feelings and determinations. All new referrals will be required to sign a Consent and Confidentiality Agreement and complete a Life History Questionnaire.
